What is the Walk-A-Thon?

The Nativity School Walk-A-Thon is our biggest fundraiser of the year! Each fall, teachers, staff, students, and volunteers come together to walk, celebrate, and support our school.

This special event is more than just a walk—it’s an interactive fundraiser that builds community, encourages fitness, and provides vital financial support for our programs.

In past years, families contributed through a $150 participation fee. We’ve shifted to a community-based fundraising model, inviting all families and friends to give what they can. Every gift makes a difference, and we are deeply grateful for your support.

2026 Goals

Funds raised through the Walk-A-Thon will directly support:

• Install gymnasium sound system: A new sound system will benefit our students and families at many events throughout the year, including the talent show, Veterans Day, Christmas program, spring program, spring musical, purse bingo, reverse raffle, sporting events, dances, wedding receptions, and many other activities held in our gym. The new sound system for the gym will be a shared purchase between the Parish, School, and Nativity Athletics. The school’s portion will be $20,000. Because the gym is used by all three groups, we are all working together to make this purchase a reality.
• Install security cameras: After conducting an assessment, we found that many of our exterior cameras are outdated and are no longer functioning as effectively as needed. We are seeking to purchase a new camera and surveillance system to improve coverage of the school building's exterior perimeter, parking lot, and playground. If funds remain after completing this purchase, we will work toward adding cameras throughout the school hallways to further enhance safety and security.

Fun Incentives!

We love celebrating milestones along the way:

• $25,000 goal: If we reach this goal, we will have a glow party in the gym.  K-2, 3-5, and 6-8 will each get an opportunity to have some fun in the gym with our glow in the dark walkathon shirts and a black light.

• $45,000 goal: If we reach this goal, Mrs. Keiser will have a bucket of ice water dumped over her head by Father Ben!
