Give to the titan reserve fund todayDear Nativity Families –
For over seventy years, Nativity Catholic School has been a beacon of faith and hope in the southeastern corner of Indianapolis. Our alumni and families have made a measurable and positive impact on our Church and community. And in recent years, the quality, Christ-centered education provided by Nativity has become more accessible than ever through the State of Indiana School Choice Scholarship Program (vouchers), which provides families with funds that they can apply toward tuition at the school of their choice.
The expansion of the School Choice Scholarship Program in 2026 means that it is now available to all families, regardless of household income. This is a great blessing for our school and community! At the same time, it comes with a set of challenges to our cash flow and regular financial operations. Because the State of Indiana only distributes School Choice Scholarship funds four times a year on an unpredictable schedule, we do not have a regular stream of income and have had to seek bridge loans from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis to cover our regular payroll and other expenses while waiting for the next payment to come from the State. This isn’t a budget issue – it’s a cash flow issue – and we’re grateful for the support of the Archdiocese to assist us during these times. But in the long run, this path is not sustainable.
And so we’re writing today to ask your support in building a cash reserve fund that will provide a stable financial foundation to sustain us between School Choice Scholarship payments. This Titan Reserve Fund will be housed in a designated account with the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and only accessed when cash flow is low while waiting for payments from the State. It’s something of an emergency savings account that can provide financial confidence and stability for us throughout the year.
Because of the generosity of the School Choice Scholarship Program, the out-of-pocket cost to attend Nativity Catholic School is under $1000 per student for a parishioner family. As a starting point for consideration, we ask you to consider a voluntary contribution of $300 per child to go toward school financial reserves. Our goal in this campaign is $100,000 raised between now and June 30 for the Titan Reserve Fund, which will go a long way in providing financial stability for our school in those months between payments received from the State. A gift of any amount will help us achieve this goal.
We are grateful for the support and sacrifices that our families make in providing a Catholic education for their children, and we humbly ask your ongoing support to shore up our financial reserves so that we have a strong foundation for the future.
